Science: The Rube Goldberg Project
In science, we've been studying Force & Motion. To demonstrate our knowledge, we are creating Rube Goldberg devices. Rube Goldberg was a famous cartoonist who devised complex and humorous drawings depicting machines and devices that accomplished simple tasks like washing a window through a number of crazy steps. Our young scientists will be building their own Rube Goldberg Machines. Click HERE for a copy of the specific directions. (All students have been given a hard copy of this.) In addition to actually building the machine, they will create a simple poster containing four elements: Title, Photo(s), Diagram, and Written Description. Here is the basic layout:
